Mapping Digital Assets in Institutional Portfolios

We are excited to publish Mapping Digital Assets in Institutional Portfolios.

Built on conversations with allocators and fund managers, the report shows exactly where spot ETFs, active hedge funds, and venture vehicles sit inside the liquidity and risk buckets that investment committees already track.

Key findings

  1. Digital assets already fit within existing sleeves, so committees can allocate without rewriting policy.
  2. Allocators are taking different on-ramps. Some start with venture funds, others with passive ETFs, and many begin with hedge funds that target better risk-adjusted metrics or market neutral returns.
  3. Benchmarks from S&P Global, CoinDesk, MarketVector, and CF Benchmarks now give teams the data they need to gauge performance and compare managers to traditional peers.

Inside, institutions will form a better understanding for where the various types of digital assets strategies may fit in the context of their existing portfolio. They will hear directly from leading buyside managers on what exactly resonates most with CIOs, pensions, foundations and other institutional allocators when considering a digital assets allocation.

We hope the report helps frame digital assets in context, ask sharper questions, and allocate with greater confidence. Feedback and discussion are welcome as progress comes from open dialogue.
